Grease splashes, however, <\/span>leave permanent stains.<\/span><\/p>\n Vigorous scrubbing will damage these surfaces. Even <\/span>KREIDEZEIT Punic Wax<\/strong> <\/a>and Carnauba Wax Emulsion <\/strong><\/a><\/span>do not provide suitable additional protection against <\/span>grease splashes. One option is to protect these <\/span>beautiful surfaces with ventilated, fixed or sliding <\/span>glass panels.<\/span><\/p>\n Alternatively,<\/span> these<\/span> surfaces<\/span> can<\/span> also<\/span> be<\/span> oiled <\/span>over the entire surface, which brings about a clear <\/span>accentuation of the pigments and beautiful colour <\/span>deepening<\/span> through<\/span> superficial<\/span> transparencies <\/span>(optical wet effect) and creates surfaces that are <\/span>easy to clean. Grease splashes no longer appear so <\/span>conspicuous on these surfaces. It is also important <\/span>to create smooth, glossy surfaces. Rough or very <\/span>matt surfaces are generally more difficult to clean.<\/span><\/p>\n To prevent the substrate and its possible irregulari<\/span>ties from shining through the oiled layer, the colou<\/span>ring decorative surface should have a minimum layer <\/span>thickness of 2 mm.<\/span><\/p>\n These are the typical layer thicknesses of KREIDEZEIT <\/span>Lime Wall Finish -smooth-<\/strong><\/a>, Marmorino<\/strong> <\/a>and Tadelakt <\/strong><\/a><\/span>anyway. For the thin-layer Stuccolustro<\/strong> <\/a>or Stucco <\/strong><\/a><\/span>Fine<\/strong>, a carrier layer of e.g. KREIDEZEIT\u00a0<\/span>Lime Wall Finish -smooth-<\/a> in the same colour shade<\/strong> should be <\/span>applied beforehand.<\/span><\/p>\n The<\/span> surfaces<\/span> are<\/span> first<\/span> finished<\/span> according<\/span> to<\/span> the <\/span>general processing instructions including compac<\/span>ting to gloss and also soaped with KREIDEZEIT Polishing Soap<\/strong><\/a><\/span>. The soap allows the oil to be absorbed <\/span>more slowly and evenly during the following work <\/span>step.<\/span><\/p>\n It is important here that the last layer in each case <\/span>is finished with even motivation and even pressure. <\/span>Otherwise, less compacted areas will absorb more oil <\/span>and more compacted areas will absorb less oil and <\/span>may then have different colour intensities.<\/span><\/p>\n Before oiling, the soaped surface should rest for 4-6 <\/span>weeks so that the surface carbonates.<\/span><\/p>\n For oiling intensively coloured surfaces we recom<\/span>mend our linseed oil-based Multi Purpose Wax<\/strong><\/a>, on <\/span>white or only delicately tinted surfaces our non-yel<\/span>lowing Safflower Multi Purpose Wax<\/strong><\/a>. <\/span>Our Multi Purpose Waxes<\/strong> <\/a>are highly oily mixtures <\/span>with a little beeswax. Due to the wax content, they <\/span>are somewhat thicker than pure oils and do not run<\/span> Oil the entire surface quickly and generously <\/span><\/strong>with a broad brush or sponge!<\/span><\/p>\n Individual wipes that are left standing are absorbed <\/span>more<\/span> deeply<\/span> and<\/span> create<\/span> more<\/span> intensive<\/span> colour <\/span>deepening that usually cannot be levelled out later. <\/span>Allow the Multi Purpose Wax to soak in for about 30 <\/span>minutes! <\/span>Then wipe the surface dry with a soft absorbent <\/span>cotton cloth and remove any oil that has not been <\/span>absorbed completely.<\/span><\/p>\n IMPORTANT<\/strong>:<\/span> Please always create sufficiently large <\/span>test areas<\/span><\/strong> first, e.g. on remnants of plasterboard or <\/span>gypsum fibreboard, in order to familiarise yourself <\/span>with the materials, their processing and the subse<\/span>quent visual effect.<\/span> Take care of the oiled surfaces for another 2-3 <\/span>weeks, avoid soiling during this time so that you do <\/span>not have to damp clean the surfaces yet. During this <\/span>time, the oils harden completely and thus achieve <\/span>their full protective effect.<\/span><\/p>\n On these oiled surfaces, grease splashes will cause <\/span>far fewer problems and often remain completely <\/span>invisible. Nevertheless,<\/span> careful handling<\/span><\/strong> is recom<\/span>mended. Very heavy splashes of grease can still <\/span>cause slight darkening in the affected areas, espe<\/span>cially if the surfaces are not adequately maintained, <\/span>and should be removed as quickly as possible.<\/span><\/p>\n You can easily clean the surfaces with a soft sponge\/ <\/span>wiping<\/span> cloth<\/span> and<\/span> soapy<\/span> water,<\/span> e.g.<\/span> KREIDEZEIT <\/span>Corfu Soap<\/strong><\/a>.
