When Wilhelm Stollberg founded the Wistoba brush factory in 1917 in the Bad Lauterberg district of Barbis am Harz, his main goal was to provide paintbrushes and brushes of outstanding quality.
Highest demands on production and permanent quality improvements made the Wistoba brand synonymous with high-quality, professional painting tools far beyond the region. After all, Wilhelm Stollberg already knew then: Quality is when the customer comes back – and not the product.
Tips for cleaning and care
Oil and oil paint brushes are first spread out well and washed out with a little balsam turpentine oil. Finally, clean with warm water and Marseille soap or Corfu soap.
Aqueous wall paints are washed out with water and, if necessary, some soap (not with lime paint). Do not leave bristle brushes and brushes in lime or silicate paint for unnecessarily long. The bristles are attacked by the alkalinity.
