Surface Preparation / Priming

1. Thoroughly wash off old wallpaper paste
2. Casein Primer or Vega Primer / Clay Plaster Primer for Clay Finish Plaster
3. apply the chosen final coat plaster in a single coat, allow to dry completely; in the case of dynamic cracks, embed a glass fibre mesh.
4. optionally: treat penetrating stains on Lime Wall Finishes with Alum Priming Salt.

Unsuitable for direct plastering.

1. Special plaster for aerated concrete or calcium silicate
2. apply Casein Primer or Vega Primer / Clay Plaster Primer for Clay Finish Plaster

alternatively only on aerated concrete:
1. Casein Primer or Vega Primer
2. then apply 2 coats Lime Wall Finish -medium- „wet-on-wet“ under embedding a glassfibre mesh (not for Clay Finish Plaster)

Unsuitable for direct plastering.

1. Fill and reinforce the joints according to the manufacturer’s instructions
2. cover with paper wallpaper or Fleece Wallpaper
3. paint with Kreidezeit wall paints or brush-on plasters.

› Cover the entire surface with plasterboard or gypsum fibre boards (for further steps see chapter “plasterboard / gypsum fibreboards”).

1. Base plaster coating according to manufacturer’s specifications with reinforcement
2. Casein Primer or Vega Primer / Clay Plaster Primer for Clay Finish Plaster


For tinting, please refer to the colour charts and colour fans “Wall paints & plasters”. Wallpaper glue residues must be thoroughly washed off on all surfaces from which wallpaper was previously removed. Otherwise subsequent coats may flake off or old wallpaper glue may show through in colour.
