Application
Application temperature min. 8°C. Stir up Paint Stripper Paste and apply 2-3 mm thick with a spatula. After the first signs of detachment, turn the paste over and spread it evenly again. After a sufficient application time, remove the paste with a spatula and return it to the can (Paint Stripper Paste can be reused several times). Remove remaining paint residues from the pores with a plastic brush and water.

Exposure time
10 minutes to several hours, depending on the type and layer thickness of the material to be stripped. The effectiveness is shown when the paste turns oily brown. As the paste is only effective when moist, it should be covered with plastic foil for longer exposure times to protect it from drying out. During application, check the effectiveness of the stripper at short intervals and remove paste as soon as the paint is detached. Too long exposure times can damage the wood, discolour it irreversibly and lye can penetrate too deep into the wood, so that it can no longer be neutralised, especially at cutting edges.

Follow-up treatment / Neutralization
Wash the wood surface thoroughly with water and sponge or brush and allow to dry. Then always treat thoroughly with vinegar essence (diluted to 10% acetic acid), leave for 5 minutes and rinse with water. Finally, check the neutralization. To do this, press a pH paper onto the still wet surface. For values above pH 7, the vinegar treatment must be repeated. Non-neutralised caustic residues in the substrate cause damage to subsequent oil and paint coats.

Suitable tools
Suitable are all lye-resistant tools, e.g. made of plastic or stainless steel and plastic fibre bristles. Product must not be processed with tools containing aluminium, zinc or brass.

Cleaning the tools
Immediately after use with water.
