Kreidezeit lime paints (powder) are suitable for interior use.
Fine marble lime hydrate gives these lime paints a very high degree of whiteness as well as excellent binding and adhesive properties, without the addition of synthetic resin binders or synthetic pigments such as titanium white.
Ideal for use in damp rooms thanks to their high breathability, long-lasting alkalinity and a surface that prevents condensation. Usually provides full coverage in two coats. Tinted lime paints create surfaces with a characteristic iridescent colour intensity.

- Lime Paint smooth (powder): art. 2305, matt, white, smooth
- Lime Paint textured(powder): art. 2306, with a fine brush-applied plaster finish. Contains white marble sand with a grain size of 0.5 mm. Gives smooth substrates a fine plaster texture and preserves the surface texture of finely roughened plasters.

Priming
Prime all plaster, filler, filled plasterboard, concrete and old emulsion paints with Vega Primer (art. 1105) or Casein Primer (art. 1103) and allow to dry thoroughly. Do not prime fleece- or paper wallpaper.
MIxing the paint
Gradually stir the powder into the specified amount of clean, cold water until the mixture is lump-free. Use a powerful electric drill fitted with a whisk attachment. Leave to soak for at least 30 minutes and stir thoroughly once more before use.
Amount of water / Dilution
Lime Paint smooth (powder): Mix 1 kg of powder with 900 ml of water.
Lime Paint textured (powder): Mix 1 kg of powder with 600 ml of water.
The paint should be thinned with water to achieve a consistency suitable for application to the substrate; if necessary, it may need to be further thinned with up to 10% water.
Application
The recommended application method is to apply the paint with a brush in a criss-cross motion. Testing the paint on a small test area is advisable if using a roller. Apply the paint quickly, ‘wet-on-wet’, using a criss-cross motion, and then roll the surface in one direction. Do not roll tinted lime paint!
Tinting
Can be tinted with all Kreidezeit earth and mineral pigments: max. 100 g of pigment per 1 kg of colour powder (colour grade A).

Colour charts are available from Kreidezeit and its retailers. Before mixing the lime paint, stir the pigments directly into the mixing water until free of lumps, or, to adjust the colour, slurry them with a little water and mix them into the finished paint.
The pigments can be mixed together as desired. The addition of pigments may reduce the shelf life. Lime paints tinted with ultramarine pigments must be used within 24 hours.
Drying times
Approx. 8 hours at temperatures of around 20 °C and a humidity of 65 per cent. Lower temperatures will prolong the drying time.
Cleaning the tools
Immediately after use with water.
Can be tinted with all KREIDEZEIT earth- und mineral pigments.

Lime paints tinted with ultramarine pigments must be used within 12 hours.
