Stuccolustro -white- (art. 181): for white surfaces. Tintable with up to 10 % of all KREIDEZEIT pigments.
Suitable for the application on solid mineral plasters, concrete, plasterboards and gypsum fibre boards in the interior.

The structure of the filler is visible in the Stuccolustro surface. So make it as smooth as possible or create light structures. Lime Wall Finish -smooth- can also be sanded after drying.Unsuitable subsurfaces e.g. are natural emulsion paints, wood, chipboards, oil paints and plastic coatings, glue bound distempers, chalking lime paints and all glossy, non-absorbent or permanently humid surfaces.

Mixing the Plaster
Stir the powder into the required amount of clean, cold water using a powerful electric drill with a paint stirrer. Ensure that all clots are stirred out properly. Clean the rim of the bucket with a trowel from time to time.
After an expanding time of at least 30 minutes, stir again thoroughly before application.
Tipp: The best quality is achieved when the render is mixed one day before application and covered with plastic foil, this leads to the best consistency.
Water required
0.45 litres of water per 1 kg of powder.
Primer
Apply a base coat to all renders, fillers, levelled drywall and concrete with Casein Primer or Vega Primer and leave to dry completely.
Equalisation
For the creation of an evenly absorbent and evenly textured substrate apply a smooth or lightly textured intermediate layer with KREIDEZEIT Lime Wall Finish -smooth- or Lime Wall Finish -fine-. Lime Wall Finish -smooth- can also be sanded after drying.
Application
Application temperature at least 8°C.
Stuccolustro is applied thinly in two layers using a Venetian trowel.
Spray a little water on too dry surfaces.
Apply the first layer thinly, evenly and entirely without trowel pressure. Wait at least 3 hours.
The second layer is also applied thinly but in small spots with higher pressure. The typical light-and-dark colour effects and the shiny surface are achieved by powerful densification with the Venetian trowel.
A darker, deeper hue occurs where the spots overlay during densification. Leave the second layer to set.
Soaping
When the surface has become bright, apply KREIDEZEIT Polishing Soap thickly, regularly and allover the surface with a soft brush. After a short setting time densify and polish with a trowel while taking off surplus material. Through this, a higher gloss and a water and dirt repellent surface is achieved. The effects can be intensified by using a heated (60 – 80 ºC) trowel. Chemically this process creates an insoluble lime-soap by the reaction of polishing soap with the lime in the surface.
Further Treatments
After at least 24 hours of drying time and to achieve a higher gloss, apply KREIDEZEIT Punic Wax thinly and polish with a Venetian Trowel.
Drying Times
Can be recoated after approx. 12 – 20 hours at 20 °C and 65 % relative humidity. The Stuccolustro surface is completely hardened after approx. 4 weeks.
Suitable Tools
Suitable tools are Venetian trowels, Spring-steel trowels.
Cleaning the Tools
Immediately after use with water.

– Special Effects
To achieve metallic and interference effects, Punic Wax can be tinted with KREIDEZEIT Pearlescent Pigments (article no. 1.10 – 4.19).
Nice decorative applications can be given with Kreidezeit Stencils. If Multi Purpose Wax (article no. 511) is stencilled onto the smoothed and soaped surface, the Stuccolustro gets a darker, deeper shade at this area. This results in a discreet, noble accent with a velvety sheen. Please see our catalogues: Storch Stencils or Kreidezeit Ammonite Stencils.
Stuccolustro -white- can be tinted with up to 10 % KREIDEZEIT pigments. Stuccolustro -base- must be tinted with at least 10 % of KREIDEZEIT pigments. A maximum pigmentation of 20 % is possible.
• Colour Chart
Stir pigments into the mixing water before mixing the render. Ensure that all clots are stirred out properly or stir pigments in water and add to the already mixed render. We recommend to clean the rim of the bucket with a trowel and to pour the tinted render into a new, clean bucket to get rid of untinted residues in the corners of the bucket. Instruction
Do not store Stuccolustro pigmented with ultramarine pigments for longer than 24 hours.
Printed versions are available from KREIDEZEIT and KREIDEZEIT dealers.
