Marmorino is an easy-to-use lime render for exclusive lime works on smooth surfaces in the interior. For fascinating surfaces with the silk-shine, lustre and deep transparency of polished stone.

SKU: 988.1 - 988.4 Category: Tag:

An additional top coating with KREIDEZEIT Stucco Fine render lets you achieve high gloss.

Marmorino is to be applied in 2 layers, each with approx. 1 mm of thickness. Due to this high layer thickness and the embedded marble grains, the appearance will be different from Kreidezeit Stuccolustro and from Stucco Fine Render.
The results are evenly less textured, glossy and marble-like surfaces.
Marmorino has a natural fungicidal effect and is therefore also suitable for use in bathrooms and the like.
For walls and ceilings in the interior.
Suitable surfaces for application are untreated, even and absorbent plasters: lime plasters, lime cement plasters, cement plasters.
All other plasters, rough surfaces, drywalls and fibrous plaster boards to be primed with Casein Primer and to be entirely covered with Lime Wall Finish -fine- prior to application of Marmorino. Unsuitable substrates are e.g. glue paints and chalking lime coatings, oil paints, latex paints, plastic coatings, wood, wood-based materials, metal, as well as all smooth, non-absorbent surfaces and permanently damp substrates. Not suitable for floors.

Primer
Apply a base coat to all renders, fillers, levelled drywall and concrete with Vega Primer or Casein Primer and leave to dry completely.

Equalisation
On untreated, damgae-free and evenly absorbent lime plasters, lime cement plasters, cement plasters an intermediate coating with Lime wall Finish is not necessary.
All other plasters, rough surfaces, drywalls and fibrous plaster boards to be primed with Casein Primer and to be entirely covered with Lime Wall Finish -fine- prior to application of Marmorino.

Application
Application temperature at least 8°C. Wet dry subsurfaces before application.
Marmorino is to be applied in 2 layers.

1st Layer
Apply marmorino with a trowel all over the surface evenly smooth or with slight structure. Apply Marmorino only slightly thicker than the grain size (approx. 1 mm). Let set until the surface has become strong against impact.
The 1st layer of Marmorino must not be polished nor densified.

2nd Layer
Apply Marmorino with a trowel again all over the surface and only slightly thicker than the grain size (approx. 1 mm). The right point of time for polishing Marmorino depends on the water content of the surface, its absorbency and the climate, and may vary strongly.

Soaping
When the surface has become strong against impact, apply KREIDEZEIT Polishing Soap thickly, regularly and allover the surface with a soft brush.
After a short setting time densify and polish with a trowel while taking off surplus material. Through this, a higher gloss and a water and dirt repellent surface is achieved. Chemically this process creates an insoluble lime-soap by the reaction of polishing soap with the lime in the surface.

Alternate way of application
Instead of densifying the second layer of Marmorino to silk-gloss, a very thin additional layer of Stucco Fine Render can be applied on top. Densify, soap and polish the surface as explained above.

Further Treatments
After at least 24 hours of drying time and to achieve a higher gloss, apply KREIDEZEIT Punic Wax thinly and polish with a Venetian Trowel.

Drying Times
Dry after approx. 24 hrs at 20°C and 65% relative humidity.

Special effects
To achieve metallic and interference effects, Punic Wax can be tinted with KREIDEZEIT Pearlescent Pigments. Nice decorative applications can be given with Kreidezeit Stencils. If Multi Purpose Wax is stencilled onto the smoothed and soaped surface, the Marmorino gets a darker, deeper shade at this area. This results in a discreet, noble accent with a velvety sheen.
Please see our catalogues: Storch Stencils or Kreidezeit Ammonite Stencils.

Marmorino can be tinted up to 10 % with all KREIDEZEIT earth- and mineral pigments.
Do not add more than 5% of pure Ironoxide pigments.

Pigmentguide

Stir pigments into the mixing water before mixing the render. Ensure that all clots are stirred out properly. To gradate, stir pigments in water and add to the already mixed render. We recommend to clean the rim of the bucket with a trowel and to pour the tinted render into a new, clean bucket to get rid of untinted residues in the corners of the bucket. Instruction

Do not store Marmorino pigmented with ultramarine pigments for longer than 24 hours.

Printed versions are available from KREIDEZEIT and KREIDEZEIT dealers.

We would like to point out that the color tones cannot always be displayed correctly by different monitors and their settings. The same applies to self-produced prints of these colours.
